Ram Charan To Begin Shoot For Sukumar’s RC17 From….

Star Commits to Back-to-Back Blockbusters; Peddi, a rural sports drama with Janhvi Kapoor and AR Rahman, is confirmed for a March 27, 2026, release.

October 17, 2025: Mega Power Star Ram Charan is demonstrating a rigorous commitment to back-to-back projects, with a tight schedule lined up for the coming year. As his highly anticipated rural sports action drama, Peddi, heads for its worldwide release on March 27, 2026, the actor is already gearing up for his next massive collaboration.

Ram Charan is set to reunite with director Sukumar for the project tentatively titled RC17 immediately after wrapping up Peddi. The duo previously delivered the industry-shaking blockbuster Rangasthalam (2018), setting sky-high expectations for their next venture.

Seamless Transition for RC17

The producer of both Peddi and RC17 confirmed the smooth transition in a recent interview, revealing that the team is meticulously planning the schedule to ensure continuity. With Peddi’s shoot nearing completion (around 50% complete), the focus is now shifting to the groundwork for RC17.

Director Sukumar is currently in Dubai, dedicating his time to perfecting the screenplay for RC17, allowing the film to go on floors swiftly once Ram Charan fulfills his commitments for Peddi and its promotional campaign. This fast-paced approach underlines Ram Charan’s dedication to providing a continuous stream of entertainment for his global fanbase.

Peddi Details: Cricket, Rural Action, and AR Rahman

Ram Charan’s immediate release, Peddi, is a sports action drama set against a rustic village backdrop and revolves around a cricket tournament. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film promises a powerful and impactful story.

The film features a star-studded ensemble cast, including:

  • Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead in her second Telugu film.
  • Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar.
  • Actors Divyendu and Jagapathi Babu in significant roles.

Adding to the massive scale is the music and background score composed by the Academy Award winner, AR Rahman. Cinematographer Rathnavelu, who is currently shooting the film, has hinted that Ram Charan will be seen in a distinctly different style, performance, and dialect, cementing the anticipation for the March 2026 release.
