The release of Ram Charan’s highly anticipated sports drama, Peddi, is once again surrounded by uncertainty. While the film was originally slated to hit theaters on April 30, 2026, recent reports suggest the makers are considering a postponement to June.

The buzz intensified after a major North American distribution firm, Prathyangira Cinemas, reportedly revealed that the producers requested they hold off on opening advance bookings, a move often signaling a change in the release schedule.

Industry insiders cite several reasons for the possible shift. While Ram Charan recently assured fans that the “talkie” portions are complete, some key scenes and a major musical number are reportedly still in the works. Additionally, with the Indian Premier League (IPL) currently in full swing, filmmakers are often cautious about releasing high-budget projects that might compete for evening viewership. This would mark the third time the film’s release has been pushed, having previously moved from March 27 to the current April date.

Despite the rumors, excitement remains high, particularly following reports of a blockbuster special song featuring both Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur. The high-octane track is set to begin filming next week. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi features a powerhouse ensemble including Boman Irani, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma, positioning it as one of the most significant releases in Tollywood this year.
