Ram Pothineni and Sanjay Dutt Wrap Up Shooting for ‘Double iSmart’

Ram Pothineni and Sanjay Dutt have completed shooting for their highly anticipated film, ‘Double iSmart’. On Friday, the production house Puri Connects shared the exciting news with fans, along with a new poster, captioned, “#DoubleIsmart SHOOT COMPLETED. Grand WW release on August 15. Gear Up for DIMAAK KI KIRIKIRI Experience in Theaters.”

The poster features Ram Pothineni and Kavya Thapar in a romantic pose, taken from one of the film’s songs. The entire shoot of the movie is now complete, with post-production work underway.

Directed by Puri Jagannadh, ‘Double iSmart’ also stars Kavya Thapar, Bani J, Getup Srinu, and Ali in pivotal roles. Recently, the makers unveiled the song ‘SteppaMaar’, which received positive feedback from the audience. This upbeat dance number is sung by Nakash Aziz and Sahiti, penned by Moshin, with music by Mani Sharma.

The much-anticipated film is set to hit theaters on August 15. The teaser for ‘Double iSmart’ was released earlier, showcasing Ram Pothineni reprising his role as the titular character, who finds himself in trouble once again. The teaser highlights Ram’s character engaging in his signature antics, including flirting and dancing, before facing off against Sanjay Dutt’s formidable character, Big Bull, marking Sanjay’s debut in Telugu cinema. The teaser hints at an intense showdown between Ram and Sanjay, featuring a gripping fight sequence near a Shiva linga.

‘Double iSmart,’ a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster ‘iSmart Shankar,’ is produced by Charmme Kaur and Puri Jagannadh, with Sam K Naidu and Gianni Gianneli handling cinematography. Renowned music composer Mani Sharma returns to create the film’s score. The film will be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

The original ‘iSmart Shankar’ was a box office success despite mixed reviews regarding its portrayal of the titular character and controversial scenes. While Nabha Natesh’s character met a tragic end in the first installment, the fate of Nidhhi Agerwal’s character remains undisclosed, leaving fans curious about the sequel’s storyline. Produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmee Kaur under the Puri Connects banner, ‘Double iSmart’ will be released worldwide on August 15 in multiple languages.
