Ranbir Kapoor Reacts To Film Delay Jokes
Actor assures fans as Love & War and Ramayana build anticipation
February 15, 2026: Ranbir Kapoor responded candidly after a fan jokingly called him out for taking long gaps between releases during an Instagram Live marking one year of his brand ARKS. The remark referenced his signature sign-off, “See you at the movies,” and pointed out that he often disappears for years after saying it. Smiling, Ranbir admitted that his films tend to take longer than usual, adding that while most projects wrap in a few months, his often require extended timelines. His last theatrical release was Animal in 2023, followed by a brief cameo in The Ba**ds of Bollywood.
Ranbir assured fans that he has been working hard over the past few years and expressed hope that audiences would feel the wait was worthwhile. One of his upcoming projects, Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, reportedly involves large-scale aerial action and extensive visual effects, contributing to its prolonged post-production. The film also stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
Meanwhile, his epic drama Ramayana: Part One, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is slated for release in November 2026. Love & War marks Ranbir’s reunion with Bhansali after Saawariya, while also bringing Bhatt back to the filmmaker after Gangubai Kathiawadi. As expectations continue to rise, fans now await official release dates for the much-anticipated projects.
