Randeep Hooda Joins Sunny Deol’s High-Octane Action Film ‘SDGM

Actor Randeep Hooda has officially joined the cast of the highly anticipated action film tentatively titled ‘SDGM’, directed by the renowned Gopichandh Malineni and starring Bollywood action icon Sunny Deol. The announcement, which took fans by surprise, was made on Hooda’s 48th birthday, adding a special touch to his celebration.

In a celebratory Instagram post, Hooda expressed his excitement about being a part of this major project. “Excited to be a part of this action feast – #SDGM. Cannot wait to get on sets with @iamsunnydeol Paaji and the entire team. As promised, this will be a MASS FEAST,” Hooda wrote, hinting at the film’s high-octane action and thrilling narrative.

Director Gopichandh Malineni, known for his expertise in creating blockbuster action films, also extended birthday wishes to Randeep Hooda. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Malineni welcomed Hooda aboard, stating, “Welcome aboard the most versatile actor @RandeepHooda sir. Wishing you a very happy birthday from team #SDGM.”

The film, which Sunny Deol himself has declared to be “the biggest action film of the country,” is generating significant buzz. Deol shared a concept poster of the film on social media, heightening anticipation among fans. “Make way for the biggest action film of the country – #SDGM. Starring Action Superstar @iamsunnydeol. Directed by @megopichand. Produced by @MythriOfficial & @peoplemediafcy. Mass feast loading. Shoot begins soon,” Deol announced, signaling the film’s upcoming production start.

‘SDGM’, although yet to receive its official title, is set to be produced under the banners of Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory, with producers Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, and TG Vishwa Prasad at the helm. The movie will feature cinematography by Rishi Punjabi and a powerful soundtrack composed by Thaman S, further adding to its grandeur and scale.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, actresses Saiyami Kher and Regina Cassandra will also play pivotal roles in the film, rounding out a star-studded cast. The film was officially launched with a ceremony in Hyderabad and is set to go into production on June 22.

In addition to ‘SDGM’, Sunny Deol has an exciting slate of projects lined up. He is set to appear in Rajkumar Santoshi‘s historical drama ‘Lahore 1947’, marking his first collaboration with Aamir Khan under the Aamir Khan Productions banner. Moreover, Deol will reprise his iconic role from the 1997 war epic ‘Border’ in an upcoming sequel directed by Anurag Singh.
