YouTuber Claims Fake Patients Attempted to Enter Clinic, Seeks Legal Protection
Mumbai, February 15: YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, widely known as ‘Beer Biceps’, has claimed that individuals posing as patients attempted to intrude into his mother’s clinic, following death threats against him and his family.
The threats come in the wake of his controversial remarks on the now-deleted comedy show “India’s Got Latent,” which sparked outrage and multiple FIRs across India.
🔹 Death Threats & Alleged Intrusion
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Allahbadia stated that he has been receiving death threats, with unknown individuals allegedly trying to “invade” his mother’s clinic under the pretense of being patients. Despite feeling unsafe, he expressed trust in the Indian legal system and assured full cooperation with authorities.
“I’m watching death threats pour in from people saying that they want to kill me and hurt my family. People have invaded my mother’s clinic posing as patients. I’m feeling scared and I don’t know what to do. But I’m not running away. I have full faith in the police and the judicial system of India.”
He also acknowledged his controversial remark about his parents, calling it insensitive and disrespectful, and promised to do better in the future.
🔹 Supreme Court Petition & Multiple FIRs
On Friday, Allahbadia approached the Supreme Court, seeking to club multiple FIRs lodged against him across different states over his controversial comments on India’s Got Latent.
Senior advocate Abhinav Chandrachud, representing the podcaster, requested an urgent hearing before a bench led by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna. The advocate cited multiple FIRs filed across the country and mentioned that the Assam Police had summoned Allahbadia on Friday.
Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma had earlier confirmed that Guwahati Police had registered an FIR against Allahbadia, along with other influencers and comedians including Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija, for allegedly promoting obscenity and vulgar discussions on the show.
Additionally, FIRs have been registered in Maharashtra and Assam, escalating the legal troubles for the YouTuber.
