The ongoing friction between digital creator Ranveer Allahbadia and comedian Samay Raina has taken a sarcastic turn. Following the release of Raina’s new stand-up special, Still Alive, where he took multiple shots at the “BeerBiceps” founder, Allahbadia has fired back with a play on words.
When prompted by paparazzi about the comedian’s remarks on Saturday, Ranveer quipped, “Samay… kaun Samay? Kya Samay? Humara time. It’s our time, my time is now.”
The tension stems from the massive controversy surrounding an episode of India’s Got Latent, where a question posed by Allahbadia regarding “parents’ sex lives” led to nationwide backlash and multiple FIRs. In his special, Samay claimed the ordeal “ruined” his mental health, while jokingly labeling Ranveer “the monk who sold my Ferrari.” Samay further revealed that the edit could have been much worse, alleging that Ranveer asked the controversial question eight times and made several other “obscene” remarks that were ultimately cut.
Responding to the “praise” and the digs, Allahbadia maintained a light, almost meditative tone during his interaction with Shailesh Pandey. “The praise reaches me… the more positivity you keep inside, the more you attract,” he stated, adding that a good sense of humor is essential. While Samay confirmed that India’s Got Latent Season 2 is on the horizon, it remains to be seen if the two will ever share a stage—or a podcast mic—again.
