Ranveer Singh Cheers on Deepika Padukone’s ‘Lady Singham’ Avatar, Calls Her “Sherni”

Actor Ranveer Singh recently showered praise on his wife, Deepika Padukone, for her fierce new look as the lady cop in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film ‘Singham Again,’ referring to her as a “sherni” (lioness).

Deepika’s portrayal of the formidable Shakti Shetty in the action-packed thriller has captivated audiences, with Ranveer expressing his admiration for her latest role on Instagram.

In a story shared on his Instagram account, Ranveer shared Deepika’s poster from the movie, lauding her as a “sherni” (lioness) in the caption.

Adding to the excitement surrounding the film, director Rohit Shetty unveiled a motion poster featuring Deepika as “Lady Singham” on April 19. The dynamic video showcased Deepika striking Ajay Devgn’s iconic Singham pose, embodying the spirit of her character, Shakti Shetty.

Last year, on the auspicious occasion of the first day of Navratri, Rohit Shetty revealed the first look of Deepika as the fierce lady cop, Shakti Shetty. Sharing the images on Instagram, Rohit described her character as a blend of the goddesses Sita and Durga, portraying her as a formidable and violent officer in the cop universe.

In the film’s poster, Deepika is seen donning the police uniform, exuding confidence and authority. The imagery hints at the intense action and drama that audiences can expect from ‘Singham Again.’

Directed by Rohit Shetty, ‘Singham Again’ features an ensemble cast including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Ranveer Singh in pivotal roles. The highly anticipated film is slated to hit theaters on Independence Day 2024, promising a thrilling cinematic experience for audiences.

Apart from ‘Singham Again,’ Deepika will also showcase her talent in the sci-fi action film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ opposite Prabhas, further diversifying her impressive repertoire.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is set to reprise his iconic role as Simmba in ‘Singham Again,’ adding his trademark energy and charisma to the cop drama. Additionally, he will headline Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 3,’ stepping into the shoes of the iconic character immortalized by Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.

As fans eagerly anticipate the release of ‘Singham Again’ and Deepika and Ranveer’s upcoming projects, the couple continues to dazzle audiences with their on-screen chemistry and individual prowess in the world of entertainment.
