Rapper GloRilla Faces Drug Charges After Home Burglary
July 24, 2025: Rapper GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, is facing drug charges following a bizarre incident at her Forsyth County home. Police were initially called to investigate a burglary and reports of shots fired at her residence early Saturday morning. Woods turned herself in to authorities on Tuesday and has since posted bond.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to GloRilla’s home and upon arrival, “detected a strong odor consistent with illegal narcotics.” This led investigators to secure a search warrant, which resulted in the discovery of “a significant amount of marijuana” in “plain view” within the master bedroom closet. Authorities confirmed that Woods was not home at the time of either the burglary or the subsequent search.
Sheriff Ron Freeman emphasized the dual nature of the case: “The homeowner is a victim of a serious crime, and we are committed to bringing the suspects to justice. At the same time, we must continue to uphold and enforce the law in all aspects of this case.”
GloRilla’s attorneys, Marissa Goldberg and Drew Findling of the Findling Law Firm, have vehemently criticized the authorities’ actions, calling her arrest “a disturbing window into how warped law enforcement priorities have become.” Speaking to TMZ, they stated that Woods was out of town at the time of the incident and that family members were staying at the home.
“When her family members did the right thing and called law enforcement, instead of investigating the violent home invasion and theft at Ms. Woods’ home, they instead sought a search warrant when they spotted what they believed was a small amount of marijuana,” the attorneys said. They highlighted that arrest warrants were issued for Woods despite her absence, while no warrants have been issued for the “violent home invaders.” “Ms. Woods is a victim, not a suspect. This is our tax dollars at work, absolutely unbelievable,” they added.
This is not GloRilla’s first encounter with law enforcement in recent times. On April 16, 2024, she was pulled over in Gwinnett County after officers observed her making a U-turn at a solid red light. After reportedly failing sobriety tests, she was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, consuming an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, and failure to obey a traffic control device. During that arrest, she notably asked officers if she could sue them if arrested without reason.
