Rebel Wilson Reveals “Terrible Accident” On Bride Hard Set
Washington DC [US], June 18: Actress Rebel Wilson has opened up about a frightening on-set accident while filming her upcoming action-comedy ‘Bride Hard’, as reported by People magazine.
The 45-year-old actress, known for her comedic roles, said she enjoyed doing action scenes for the first time in her career. However, things took a serious turn on the final night of shooting.
“At around 3:00 a.m., a gun accidentally got whacked across my face during a fight scene,” Wilson recalled. “My nose got cut open, and I had to be rushed by ambulance to the hospital.”
A plastic surgeon from Savannah, Georgia, was brought in at 6:30 a.m. to stitch her nose. Wilson admitted she feared permanent damage.
“There were a few hours where I was like, ‘Is my face ever going to be okay?’”
She later underwent laser treatment to minimize scarring and shared photos of the injury on social media. Wilson added humor to the ordeal, saying:
“At least now I share something with Tom Cruise and Daniel Craig — getting injured in an action movie. That’s a good club to be in.”
Directed by Simon West, Bride Hard stars Rebel Wilson as Sam, a secret agent who takes on the role of maid of honour at her best friend’s wedding. When a group of mercenaries crashes the ceremony and takes the guests hostage, Sam must save the day without blowing her cover—or the big celebration.
The action-comedy features a star-studded cast including Anna Camp, Anna Chlumsky, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Gigi Zumbado, Stephen Dorff, and Justin Hartley.
Release Date: Bride Hard hits theatres June 20.
