Rekha’s Legendary Umrao Jaan to Return in 4K — Mark Your Calendar for This Date!

June 2, 2025: Get ready to relive cinematic history as Rekha’s legendary film Umrao Jaan is making a comeback on the big screen! Directed by Muzaffar Ali, the 1981 cult classic has been meticulously restored in 4K resolution by NFDC-NFAI and will re-release in select PVR INOX theatres across multiple cities on June 27.

In celebration of the re-release, director Muzaffar Ali will also unveil a limited-edition coffee table book offering rare insights into the making of the film. The book will feature behind-the-scenes photographs, intricate costume sketches, original calligraphy, poetry, and touching personal anecdotes — making it a true collector’s item for film lovers.
