Resident Alien Canceled: Season 4 to Be Its Last

July 25, 2025: The popular sci-fi comedy series Resident Alien will conclude with its current fourth season. Originally airing on Syfy and later moving to USA Network, the show, starring Alan Tudyk, will air its series finale on August 8, 2025.

Resident Alien, created by Chris Sheridan, is based on the comic book series by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse. It debuted on Syfy in 2021, following the misadventures of Harry Vanderspeigle, an alien who crash-lands on Earth and assumes the identity of a human doctor in a small Colorado town. Throughout its run, Harry navigates human interactions, solves local problems, and evades a secret government agency, all while keeping his true identity under wraps.

The show saw a significant surge in popularity after it began streaming on Netflix last year.

Sheridan confirmed to TV Insider that he went into Season 4 knowing it would likely be the final one. “Creatively, that was exciting because I knew we could spend the time wrapping up some storylines and driving toward an ending,” he shared, expressing pride in the quality of Season 4 and its “strong” finale, which he considers his favorite episode of the series.

The show’s supporting cast includes Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund, Levi Fiehler, Elizabeth Bowen, Judah Prehn, and Meredith Garretson.
