‘RHONY’ Not Canceled, Just Rebooting: Bravo and Cast Deny Rumors of Show’s End

Following reports of cancellation, insiders and cast members clarify that The Real Housewives of New York City (RHONY) is undergoing a creative reconfiguration, not being taken off the air.

Despite swirling rumors that The Real Housewives of New York City (RHONY) has been canceled, Bravo and key cast members have confirmed that the iconic reality series is simply being retooled—not shelved.

The statement followed a Page Six report that claimed the network had “decided to take RHONY off the air” with only vague “hopes” of eventually reconfiguring the show.

“We’re trying to figure that show out,” a Bravo insider told Page Six. “We want to figure it out. We think there’s still life in it.”

RHONY star Sai De Silva quickly quashed the speculation, posting a screenshot of a concerned text she received—“I just heard that RHONY is going off the air. Is that true?”—along with a headline referencing the rumors. “It’s just fake news,” she captioned the Instagram Story.

De Silva, 44, joined RHONY in the Season 14 reboot alongside Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Ubah Hassan, Lizzy Savetsky, and Erin Dana Lichy. The new cast was introduced in 2023 after a tumultuous Season 13, which notably became the first in franchise history to end without a reunion episode.

Speaking to PEOPLE ahead of her debut, De Silva had described the relaunch as “a nice fresh start.”

Franchise executive producer Andy Cohen previously hinted at the shake-up, telling Variety in 2022 that RHONY was “at a crossroads.” At the time, he emphasized that the reboot was a “major casting search” aimed at finding new voices from across New York’s boroughs.

Season 15 of RHONY concluded in February, and while the next steps remain under wraps, Bravo has made it clear: the show isn’t canceled—it’s evolving.
