Actor Richa Chadha called out airline Air India and online travel giant MakeMyTrip for providing subpar services, echoing a broader demand for better customer care and moral business conduct in the travel sector. This happened hours after Chadha criticized their services and then shared an update about how her issue had been resolved.
She wrote, “Within hours of this tweet, I received the entire refund!” in response to X. My assistant had followed up for two weeks, but to no success. According to @makemytrip, the delay was caused by the refund that @airindia hadn’t processed. Not Air India’s customer service, but their SOCIAL MEDIA staff called me once. Presences, I suppose, more than bad service, are what bother them.
The actor also questioned whether their services would have been prompt for a general passenger.
“And thanks for all your assistance, MMT and Air India. Do you really want to know if it hadn’t been a celebrity, would you still have acted quickly? Please read the comments below the tweet if your response is affirmative. There will be regular clients with unanswered questions. Address them. You have your hands full, but believe me when I say that this is the kind of good publicity that money cannot purchase. “Happy New Year to all of you,” she said. Richa criticized MakeMyTrip and Air India, two online travel agencies, for their services in a lengthy article on Saturday. She said that the travel agency’s website would not allow her to get a refund after her flight was abruptly canceled.
“SCAM ALERT! “, she wrote. @airindia @makemytrip…Subpar airlines may find that the easiest way to get away with it is to abruptly cancel flights or rearrange their schedules to cause you to miss connections! With the cooperation of purportedly practical travel booking websites like @makemytrip.” She referred to the customer service representatives as “Thakela” and “scamsters.” “Try contacting Thakela customer support at MakeMyTrip to be sure you don’t have the option to get a refund. Your booking ID will “not exist” if they are delinquent to you! At Air India, rude customer service representatives will make sure your business class fare is pocketed and won’t even offer an apology for last-minute changes in timetable or being haughty! In 2024, do yourself a favor and stay away from these two scammers! Sacrificial cheaters, I pray your businesses suffer more losses than you have in entire combined history!”..#BanMakemytrip #BlacklistAirIndia,” she continued.
MakeMyTrip replied to her post with, “Hey, sorry for any difficulty caused. To help us address your issue as soon as possible, we kindly ask that you send us a direct message with your booking ID. Regarding her career, Richa starred in “Fukrey 3.” She and Ali Fazal are ready to produce the movie “Girls will be Girls” under their production company.
The film, directed by Shuchi Talati, tells the narrative of 16-year-old Mira, whose rebellious awakening is entwined with her mother’s unfulfilled coming-of-age experiences. It is a gripping tale set in a boarding school in a small Himalayan hill town in northern India. The cast features debutants Preeti Panigrahi and Kesav Binoy Kiron in key parts, along with multi-award-winning Malayalam film actress Kani Kusruti and Jitin Gulati.
