June 1, 2025: Indian cricket star Rinku Singh and Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Priya Saroj are all set to formalize their relationship with a grand wedding later this year, following the confirmation of their relationship earlier in 2025.

According to a report, the couple will exchange rings on Sunday, 8 June, at a five-star hotel in Lucknow. The wedding ceremony is scheduled for 18 November at the prestigious Taj Hotel in Varanasi. The event is expected to be a star-studded affair, with dignitaries from politics, sports, entertainment, and business expected to attend.
Rinku Singh, a rising star in Indian cricket, is currently a key player for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Known for his promising talent as a T20 finisher, Singh is regarded as one of India’s future cricketing assets.
Priya Saroj, a law graduate from Amity University, Noida, comes from a politically influential family. She was elected as the Member of Parliament from the Machhlishahr constituency in Jaunpur district during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Her father, Toofani Saroj, has a rich political background, having served as an MLA from Kerakat as well as an MP representing Saidpur, Ghazipur, and Machhlishahr.
The couple’s journey began through a mutual friend connected to cricket, and over the course of more than a year, their acquaintance blossomed into a close relationship. Both families have given their blessings for the marriage, ensuring a smooth path to their upcoming nuptials.
“Rinku and Priya have known each other for more than a year now. They both liked each other but needed their families’ consent for the relationship. Both families have agreed to this marriage,” a family source said.
Given their prominence in their respective fields, the wedding is expected to be a significant event blending the worlds of Indian sports and politics.
