Rishab Shetty, the acclaimed actor behind the blockbuster ‘Kantara’, received a heartfelt welcome at home following his recent National Award win for Best Actor. His wife, Pragathi Shetty, and their children greeted him with traditional celebrations, including a ceremonial aarti.
On Saturday, Pragathi shared a touching video on Instagram, capturing the warm homecoming and expressing her pride in a heartfelt post. She wrote, “Over the moon with pride! His dedication and passion for cinema have been honored with a National Award. The hard work, late nights, and sacrifices have truly paid off. @rishabshettyofficial #ProudWife #70thNationalAward.”
‘Kantara’, a film penned and directed by Shetty, emerged as a pan-India success in 2022. The movie, set in the fictional village of Dakshina Kannada, tells the story of Shetty’s character, a Kambala champion who faces off against a principled Forest Range officer. The film also received the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
Expressing his gratitude upon receiving the National Award, Shetty told, “This has been possible because of my entire team. I am just the face of the film; it is all because of their hard work. The production house, the DOP, the technicians—it’s all because of them.”
He also thanked his fans and the people of Karnataka, stating, “I want to dedicate this win to the people of Karnataka. The people have made this film a hit, and I am very happy.”
Currently, Rishab Shetty is focused on his upcoming project, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’, which aims to deliver a divine cinematic experience like never before.
