Mumbai, March 25: Riteish Deshmukh has unveiled his striking first look from the much-anticipated film Raid 2, stepping into the role of a powerful politician named Dada Bhai. Clad in a traditional kurta-pyjama and Nehru jacket, Riteish exudes authority and intensity in the newly released poster.
Sharing the image on Instagram, the actor captioned:
“Kanoon ka mohtaj nahi, kanoon ka malik hai Dada Bhai! #Raid2 knocking in cinemas near you from 1st May.”
Fans and industry friends quickly flooded the comments with excitement, including Riteish’s wife Genelia Deshmukh, who commented, “Can’t wait 💚💚💚.”

Just a day earlier, Ajay Devgn had dropped his own intense look as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, surrounded by stacks of files, continuing his character’s mission from the 2018 hit Raid.
“Naya Shehar. Nayi File. Aur Amay Patnaik Ki Ek Nayi Raid,” Ajay captioned his post, building anticipation for the sequel.

Helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 is the sequel to the acclaimed 2018 thriller inspired by real-life Income Tax raids in the 1980s. The original film was praised for its tight storytelling, performances, and realistic portrayal of corruption and justice.
The sequel is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, under T-Series and Panorama Studios, and is set to release on May 1, 2025.
