Rohit Shetty Confirms Golmaal 5 with Ajay Devgn In a Surprise Cameo

Director Rohit Shetty makes a surprise cameo in Ajay Devgn’s latest film to officially announce the highly-anticipated return of the comedy franchise. Fans can finally rejoice as the long-awaited fifth installment, Golmaal 5, is confirmed to be in the works.

August 1, 2025: Ajay Devgn’s new movie, Son of Sardaar 2, came out today. Fans were surprised to see a special cameo that officially announced the long-awaited fifth movie in the Golmaal franchise.

Rohit Shetty, who directed the movie, is rumored to make a cameo appearance at the conclusion. Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, and Deepak Dobriyal are featured in the movie. In the scene, Shetty and Devgn converse, and Shetty tells Devgn that he is “getting ready for Golmaal 5.”

Since the last Golmaal movie came out in 2017, fans have been hoping for a new one. People have been talking and whispering about a sequel, but this is the first time we’ve heard for definite that it’s happening. The first Golmaal movie came out in 2006, and both Devgn and Shetty have done very well with the series.

Rohit Shetty is now working on a biopic about Rakesh Maria, the previous head of the Mumbai Police, when this news comes out. John Abraham and Tamannaah Bhatia will be in the movie. Fans are now hoping that Golmaal 5 will come out in the following few years because of this official declaration.
