Rohit Shetty Shares Emotional Experience Filming ‘Singham Again’ in Kashmir

Director Rohit Shetty recently wrapped up shooting for his action-packed film ‘Singham Again’ in Kashmir and took to Instagram to share his profound experience.

The filmmaker highlighted the transformative impact of the abrogation of Article 370 on the region. In a beautifully crafted video, Shetty, along with lead actor Ajay Devgn, is seen engaging with locals, police officials, and children, offering a glimpse into the vibrant and peaceful new Kashmir.

Shetty expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts in creating “Naya Kashmir.” The video features a poignant message: “We always had a paradise in our motherland called Kashmir but once there was terrorism, unrest, curfews, no social life. And then Article 370 got abolished. 5 years later we landed up filming Singham Again. And now the New Kashmir. Happiness. Young energy. Tourism. Peace. Love. Naye Bharat ka naya Kashmir.” In his caption, Shetty thanked the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Home Affairs for their support, writing, “@narendramodi @hmoindia… Had the most amazing and emotional schedule. Thank you for the tremendous love Kashmir.”

Ajay Devgn also expressed his appreciation for the local authorities and the people of Kashmir for their support during the shoot. In a special video, Devgn conveyed his gratitude to the Kashmir Film Authority, stating, “Thank you so much Kashmir film authority for a lovely shoot and so much cooperation… It’s a beautiful place. We wish we keep coming here. Thank you.” During the shoot, Devgn and Shetty also spent time with the jawans of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in Jammu and Kashmir.

‘Singham Again’ features a star-studded cast including Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Ranveer Singh. As the third installment of the hit franchise, following ‘Singham’ (2011) and ‘Singham Returns’ (2014), the film promises to be another box office success. Jackie Shroff, who plays a pivotal role in the film, also expressed his gratitude to the Jammu and Kashmir government for their unwavering support to the film industry professionals shooting in the region.
