“Rs 200 Crore Toh Pakka”: Salman Khan Bets Big on Sikandar Ahead of Eid Release

Despite recent box office hiccups, Salman Khan is confident that Sikandar will storm past the ₹200 crore mark — festive season or not, hit or flop.

March 25, 2025: Salman Khan is back with his signature Eid release, and this time he’s making bold promises. At the grand trailer launch of his upcoming film Sikandar, the Bollywood superstar declared that the film would cross ₹200 crore at the box office — no matter what critics or audiences say.

“Festive ho ya non-festive, film acchi ho ya buri — ₹200 crore toh ho hi jaayega,” Salman said with his trademark swag, correcting his own statement midway after initially saying ₹100 crore.

The launch event saw Salman joined by co-stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and others, as fans celebrated the return of the Khan-Eid combo. After skipping an Eid release in 2024, Salman seems determined to bring fireworks back to the box office with Sikandar.

🎬 Reality Check: Recent Box Office Form

While Salman’s confidence is sky-high, recent numbers haven’t always reflected that same energy. His 2023 release Tiger 3 — expected to break records — earned ₹282.79 crore in India and ₹464 crore worldwide. But with a massive budget of ₹300 crore, it struggled to deliver a strong ROI.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, also from 2023, failed to cross the ₹200 crore mark globally, winding up with a total of ₹184.6 crore. Earlier releases like Radhe (₹18.33 crore) and Antim (₹58.5 crore) fared even worse.

Yet, Salman’s cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan (₹1055 crore globally) was one of the film’s high points — showing that audiences are still thrilled to see him on the big screen.

With Eid releases traditionally performing well thanks to fan frenzy and holiday hype, Sikandar has all the ingredients for a box office comeback — star power, festival release, and action-packed masala.

However, whether it lives up to the hype or not remains to be seen. Salman’s words have surely raised expectations sky-high — now it’s time for the box office to respond.
