Geetu Mohandas Praises Actor Intelligence As First Look From Period Gangster Film Is Revealed

january 6, 2026: Rukmini Vasanth has been introduced as Mellisa in Geetu Mohandas’ upcoming film Toxic A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups. Yash shared her striking first look on social media revealing a bold transformation. Dressed in a blue thigh high slit dress Rukmini appears confident and enigmatic in what seems to be a smoky party setting.

Director Geetu Mohandas also shared her admiration for Rukmini calling her an intelligent and deeply thoughtful actor. She revealed that Rukmini often journals between shots capturing thoughts and moments from the set which reflects her layered acting process and strong inner preparation for roles.

Toxic is a period gangster film co written by Geetu Mohandas and Yash and produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film features an ensemble cast including Nayanthara Kiara Advani Tara Sutaria Huma Qureshi Akshay Oberoi and Sudev Nair. The film is set to release in theatres on March 19.
