'Saare Jahan Se Accha' Trailer Teases an Intense 1970s Espionage Thriller
August 4, 2025: Netflix has released the trailer for its new patriotic drama, Saare Jahan Se Accha, a gripping tale of espionage, sacrifice, and loyalty. Starring Pratik Gandhi as R&AW agent Vishnu Shankar, the series is set to premiere on August 13, just ahead of India’s Independence Day.
Set in the volatile 1970s, the series follows Vishnu Shankar on a perilous mission deep inside Pakistan. He must race against time to stop a neighboring nation’s covert nuclear program and outwit ISI agent Murtaza Mallik before a major catastrophe ignites global destruction.
The trailer gives a glimpse into a deadly game of strategy where, as Pratik Gandhi puts it, “there’s no room for error.” Speaking about his role, Gandhi said, “What drew me in was the intensity beneath the stillness and the emotional toll of being invisible, yet fighting for India. I’m thrilled audiences can finally step into that world with this trailer.”
Created by Gaurav Shukla and produced by Bombay Fables, the series pays tribute to the “unsung heroes” who serve the nation tirelessly without recognition. It features a powerhouse ensemble cast including Sunny Hinduja, Suhail Nayyar, Kritika Kamra, Tillotama Shome, Rajat Kapoor, and Anup Soni.
