“Sabko Zaroorat Padti Hai”: Salman Khan On Lack Of Bollywood Support For His Films
📍 Mumbai | April 3, 2025
With Sikandar struggling at the box office despite a high-profile release, Salman Khan has finally addressed an issue that’s been brewing beneath the surface — the absence of public support from Bollywood’s big names when his films hit theatres.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actor said:
“Unko aisa lagta hoga ki zaroorat nahin padti mujhe. But sabko zaroorat padti hai.”
(“Maybe they think I don’t need support. But everyone needs it — including me.”)
Salman added that he often promotes movies by his friends and colleagues, implying that the gesture hasn’t always been returned. This subtle yet significant statement comes at a time when Sikandar is facing a 50% drop in box office earnings on Day 4, struggling to hold its ground against mixed reviews and piracy issues.

At the Sikandar trailer launch, Salman also responded with his trademark wit to those questioning the 31-year age gap between him and co-star Rashmika Mandanna:
“If the heroine or her father doesn’t have a problem, then why should you?”
He further joked,
“And when she (Rashmika) becomes a mom, and her daughter becomes a big star, then too we will work together — with her permission of course.”
— drawing laughs from the press.
Despite heavyweights like Aamir Khan and Salim Khan making promotional appearances with Salman, Sikandar hasn’t seen the Bollywood cheer squad in full force — and fans have noticed.
