Sabrina Carpenter Dazzles on Rolling Stone Cover, Wearing Only Socks and Rapunzel-Length Hair

The pop star turns up the heat for Rolling Stone’s Summer Double Issue, teasing her new album Man’s Best Friend and reflecting on resilience, self-trust, and life after “Drivers License” drama.

Sabrina Carpenter is setting the summer on fire — literally and figuratively — with her boldest look yet. For the cover of Rolling Stone’s 2025 Summer Double Issue, the “Espresso” singer posed completely nude, styled only in delicate white thigh-high lace socks and cascading platinum-blond hair that just barely concealed her body.

Captured by iconic photographer David LaChapelle, the cover image shows Sabrina kneeling beside a hookah pipe, one white pump peeking into frame — an image that’s already gone viral.

Fashion Meets Fearlessness

Carpenter, 26, known for her sultry yet playful fashion sense, pushed boundaries in the photo shoot with dreamy, high-fashion ensembles: fishnet stockings with a floral corset, a gingham cape and panties, and a draped yellow gown with a thigh-high slit — all styled to evoke ethereal fantasy.

Though she experimented with darker hair in the past, Carpenter told Rolling Stone, “I’ve tried being brunette, and it didn’t look good on me… My blond hair is what it is.”

New Era, New Album, Same Resilience

In the accompanying interview, Sabrina opened up about her upcoming album, Man’s Best Friend, and lead single, “Manchild,” while addressing lingering fan chatter over her alleged reference in Olivia Rodrigo’s 2021 hit “Drivers License.”

“All I knew was that it wasn’t going to stop me from doing what I loved, ever,” Carpenter shared. “That era taught me to trust myself and believe everything will work out — even if you don’t see it right away.”

When asked if she still thinks about that time, her response was sharp: “I don’t think about it, ever.”

From Starlet to Style Icon

Carpenter’s signature blond curtain bangs and feathered locks have become a fashion statement in themselves. Her stylist, Laurie Heaps, told Page Six Style that her golden hues reflect “a sense of confidence and sophistication… a defining part of her look.”

During her Short N’ Sweet tour, Sabrina consistently blends lingerie-inspired fashion with pop glamour — a trend she clearly isn’t backing away from.
