Sachin Tendulkar Commends Anant Ambani’s Vantara Initiative For Wildlife Conservation

March 5, 2025: Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has lauded Anant Ambani and his team for their dedication to wildlife conservation at Vantara, a unique rescue and rehabilitation initiative. Tendulkar expressed his admiration for the project on social media, echoing the praise given by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the facility.

In his post on X, Tendulkar shared, “I felt the same as Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji, when I was in Vantara earlier. The passion and commitment of Anant and his team towards wildlife conservation is commendable. The rescued and rehabilitated animals at Vantara touch you in a unique way, and I look forward to visiting this beautiful place again.”

The Vantara project, led by Anant Ambani, focuses on rescuing and rehabilitating animals in distress, offering them a safe environment for recovery. This initiative has gained recognition for its efforts in wildlife preservation, with a particular focus on animal welfare and ecological sustainability.

Prime Minister Modi had recently visited Vantara, sharing glimpses of the facility’s impactful work. He praised the project as a significant step toward ecological sustainability and animal welfare. During his visit, he highlighted some of the harrowing cases of animals being treated at Vantara, including an elephant that had been subjected to an acid attack, another blinded by its Mahout, and a third hit by a speeding truck. PM Modi condemned such cruelty and called for more compassion toward animals.

Modi also drew attention to other distressing cases, including a lioness hit by a vehicle and a leopard cub abandoned by its family. All these animals were provided proper care and rehabilitation at Vantara, which allowed them to recover and return to a more humane and dignified life.

Vantara’s efforts, under the leadership of Anant Ambani, continue to receive widespread praise for its unwavering commitment to wildlife conservation, providing a safe and nurturing environment for rescued animals. The initiative stands as a beacon of hope for animals in need and a model for wildlife preservation in India.
