The moment, reportedly from a special screening or an informal get-together related to Aamir’s upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, featured prominent members of the film’s cast and crew, who erupted in excitement upon seeing the cricket icon.

The video shows Aamir, mid-game of foosball, pausing as someone informs him of Sachin’s arrival. He then greets Sachin and his wife Anjali with open arms. The attendees, particularly the young debut actors of Sitaare Zameen Par, lit up with joy and admiration, chanting Sachin’s name as he made his way around the room, humbly acknowledging the affection.

Fans quickly speculated about the venue—many guessing it took place at Aamir’s home, while others suggested it followed a private screening of the film.

In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, Aamir clarified that Sitaare Zameen Par is not his “comeback film” after Laal Singh Chaddha. “My films come out once every three years. I’ve had just one flop, and you’re calling it a comeback?” he laughed.

Aamir also emphasized that the upcoming film, directed by RS Prasanna, is a “spiritual sequel” to his 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par. While Taare focused on a child with dyslexia, Sitaare explores intellectual disabilities like autism and Down syndrome. “This time, it’s the neurodivergent children who end up helping the coach,” Aamir explained, calling the narrative a powerful continuation of his earlier film’s theme of inclusion.

The film, co-starring Genelia Deshmukh and introducing ten newcomers, is the official Hindi remake of the Spanish hit Champions and is slated to release on June 20.
