Sai Pallavi Breaks Silence On Turning Vegetarian For Sita’s Role In ‘Ramayana’, Calls It “Cooked Up Crappy Story”

December 12, 2024: Sai Pallavi’s recent statement addressing rumors about her adopting a vegetarian diet for her role as Sita in Ramayana has caught significant attention.

The actress took to X (formerly Twitter) to firmly reject claims that she had committed to a strict vegetarian lifestyle during the shooting of the film. According to the rumors, Pallavi had even traveled with her personal chef to ensure her meals were vegetarian, but she wasted no time in calling out these fabricated stories.

In her post, Pallavi expressed frustration over the continuous spread of false information, especially around important moments in her career. She explained that she typically remains silent in the face of baseless rumors but decided to speak out this time, highlighting how these stories often appear around her film releases or other milestones. She also made it clear that if such misleading reports continue to circulate, she would take legal action against those responsible for spreading them.

Her remarks sent a clear message to the media: any further false reports would not go unchallenged. She concluded her statement by making it clear that if the rumors continued, she would resort to legal measures to ensure accountability.

The buzz around Ramayana—a two-part epic adaptation directed by Nitesh Tiwari—has been growing rapidly, with a star-studded cast that includes Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. The film, being produced by Namit Malhotra (known for his work on Dune and Inception), promises to be an ambitious and visually stunning retelling of the ancient Indian epic. The first part of the film is set for release during Diwali 2026, with the second part following in Diwali 2027.

Pallavi’s strong response to the rumors highlights her frustration with the way her career is often scrutinized, but it also underscores the growing anticipation surrounding the Ramayana project.
