Saif Ali Khan Buys ‘Home Away From Home’ in Qatar Months After Knife Attack: Say's This-Watch
Mumbai/Doha – April 22, 2025: Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan has purchased a new luxury property in The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl, Doha, calling the Qatari destination “safe, peaceful, and beautiful.” This big reveal comes just three months after a violent knife attack at his Bandra residence in Mumbai left him hospitalized.

Speaking at a press event hosted by Alfardan Group, Saif opened up about his love for the serene Gulf lifestyle.
“There’s a peaceful, secluded energy here. It’s very safe and feels very good to be there,” he said, describing the Doha island as “a home away from home.”
Saif noted that proximity to India, luxurious seclusion, world-class cuisine, and the island-within-an-island charm played key roles in his decision.

“The views, the food, the pace of life… it just felt right. I stayed there while shooting and instantly felt connected to the place.”
He added that he looks forward to spending time there with Kareena Kapoor Khan and sons Taimur and Jehangir.

In January, a man named Shehzad broke into Saif’s Mumbai residence in an attempted robbery and stabbed the actor. Saif suffered a thoracic spine injury and other wounds, leading to a five-day hospital stay at Lilavati Hospital. He has since recovered.
Saif returns to the screen in Netflix’s high-stakes action thriller, Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, premiering April 25. Directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, the film features Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor, and Nikita Dutta alongside him. Saif plays a charismatic thief plotting to steal a rare diamond while evading a determined detective.
