Saif Ali Khan Reveals His Son Jehangir Was Also Injured in Horrific Bandra Home Robbery Attempt

Ahead of Haiwaan Reunion, Saif Ali Khan Shares Terrifying Details on Twinkle Khanna and Kajol’s Talk Show, Recalling Knife Attack That Injured Both Him and Younger Son Jeh.

In a candid and chilling revelation on the new talk show Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan opened up about the traumatic home invasion and robbery attempt that took place at his Bandra residence in January this year. While it was publicly known that Saif suffered severe injuries, the actor revealed that his younger son, Jehangir Ali Khan (or Jeh), was also hurt during the terrifying ordeal.

Saif and his co-star Akshay Kumar graced the talk show, hosted by Twinkle Khanna and Kajol, to promote their much-anticipated reunion in Priyadarshan’s upcoming film, Haiwaan.

The Terrifying Night of the Attack

Recounting the night of the incident, Saif explained that he and his older son, Taimur Ali Khan, and Jehangir had stayed up late until around 2 am watching a movie. His wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, had returned home, and the couple had a quick chat before heading to sleep.

The peace was shattered when the maid rushed in. Saif shared the harrowing details: “Suddenly the maid came in, and she said that somebody was there in Jeh’s room and asking for money. I barged into Jeh’s room in the dark, and I saw this guy standing over his bed with a knife.”

He then revealed the previously unknown detail about his son’s injury: “While poking the knife at Jeh and the nanny, he had already slightly cut Jeh on his hand and had also hurt the nanny while he was poking a knife at them.”

The Fight and Near-Fatal Injury

Believing the intruder to be smaller than him, Saif immediately jumped onto the attacker. “I kind of walked in, and I saw this guy, and I thought that he was smaller than me, which means he was not very large, and so I jumped on him,” Saif recalled.

Jeh later gave his father an action-movie critique, telling him it was “a big mistake” and suggesting he “should have punched or kicked him or something.”

The two men entered a frantic and violent struggle. “I jumped, and we started this fight, and then we both went crazy. He had these two knives, and he just started slashing all over me,” Saif said. Despite trying to remember his self-defense training and successfully blocking a few strikes, the actor felt a devastating blow. “I suddenly felt this thump in my back, and that was really very hard and bad.”

Saif Ali Khan suffered major injuries to his neck, back, and waist in the altercation, famously having a piece of the knife lodged in his spine when he reached the hospital.

The violent incident left blood everywhere and deeply terrified the children. Taimur was so scared that he asked his father if he was going to die. A severely injured Saif reassured Taimur before rushing to the hospital, concluding the story of how he became a real-life hero who protected his family that night.
