January 20, 2025: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who is recovering after suffering multiple stab wounds during an alleged burglary attempt at his Bandra residence, has shown significant improvement. Dr. Nitin Dange from Lilavati Hospital, where Saif is being treated, shared an update on Monday. He stated that the actor will remain under observation for another day, and the decision regarding his discharge will be made in one to two days.

Saif was injured when an intruder, identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, attempted to rob his house and ended up in a confrontation with the actor and his housemaid. Saif intervened, resulting in multiple stab wounds to his thoracic spine. Despite the severity of the attack, Saif was able to walk into the hospital, covered in blood, a scene Dr. Dange described as showing the actor’s immense courage.

Saif’s health has improved, and he was moved from the ICU to a special room for further recovery. The doctors are keeping him under close supervision, ensuring that he gets the necessary rest. Dr. Dange also highlighted that Saif’s condition had stabilized, and he praised the actor for his bravery during the ordeal.

Meanwhile, the police investigation into the case continues. Various investigation teams have been set up, and the accused, Shehzad, was apprehended in Thane while attempting to flee to his native Bangladesh. Charges have been registered under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).
