Saiyaara Shatters Box Office Records, Becomes Highest-Grossing Bollywood Film Overseas in 2025
July 31, 2025: Bollywood has once again shown that it can make great love stories. Mohit Suri’s “Saiyaara,” which stars newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has been a huge hit at the box office. The movie has officially broken all previous records to become the highest-grossing Bollywood movie of 2025 in the international market.
According to Sacnilk, “Saiyaara” has made an incredible ₹94 crore in the global market in just 13 days after it came out. It has done so well that it has beaten Vicky Kaushal’s historical movie “Chhaava,” which made the most money in the globe when it came out in February, with ₹91 crore. “Saiyaara” is the second Hindi movie this year to achieve more than ₹90 crore in ticket sales around the world. It’s impressive that both of the key actors are fresh to the business.
“Saiyaara” has also made more than ₹400 crore worldwide; latest estimates put it at around ₹414 crore. This is the second-highest-grossing Indian movie of the year in international markets, after Mohanlal’s “L2: Empuraan,” which made ₹124.50 crore around the world.
“Saiyaara” has also done very well in India, making ₹273 crore so far. It has been doing quite well and doesn’t seem like it will end anytime soon. Even two weeks after it came out, it is still the most popular movie in theaters. This means that new movies like “Son Of Sardaar 2” and “Dhadak 2” can’t get enough screens.
“Saiyaara,” directed by Mohit Suri, who is noted for being able to connect with young people, has been immensely popular among Gen Z. After the movie came out, videos of furious young fans crying and even shredding their shirts in theaters went online. This started a large meme fest and made the movie’s cultural influence even bigger. This surprise hit shows that even with new actors, interesting romance stories can still persuade people to pay attention and make a lot of money.
