Director Mohit Suri unveils the trailer of Saiyaara, a youthful love story starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, exploring heartbreak, ambition, and redemption.

Mumbai, July 8 – The trailer for Mohit Suri’s highly anticipated romantic drama Saiyaara is finally here, offering a passionate glimpse into a tale of love, betrayal, and self-discovery. Featuring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film is set to hit theatres worldwide on July 18, 2025 under the banner of Yash Raj Films (YRF). The film introduces Ahaan, cousin of actress Ananya Panday, as an aspiring singer, and Aneet as a lyricist and love interest whose relationship with him spirals into emotional chaos.

On Tuesday, the makers dropped the official trailer of Saiyaara, giving audiences their first real look at Ahaan Panday as Krish Kapoor, a passionate musician trying to make his mark, and Aneet Padda as a sensitive yet fierce lyricist, who becomes both his muse and emotional undoing.

The trailer begins with glimpses of Krish’s musical aspirations and how he meets and connects with the writer who fuels his creativity. As the chemistry between the lead pair blossoms, the tone of the trailer shifts dramatically. In a shocking twist, Aneet’s character is seen threatening Krish with a knife at a public event, leading to heartbreak and inner turmoil for Krish. This downward spiral is followed by a redemption arc, where Krish transforms his pain into power, rising as a celebrated star performing on grand stages.

Actor Varun Badola plays a mentor figure and delivers a pivotal line of advice in the trailer:

Apne pyaar ke liye na khud ko khatam mat kar lena
(Translation: “Don’t destroy yourself for love.”)

The trailer has already sparked reactions online, with fans appreciating the fresh pairing and emotionally charged storyline.

“That’s how people should debut,” commented one user.
Another praised the trailer, calling it an “Unofficial Aashiqui 3 but ORIGINAL Saiyaara.”

Director Mohit Suri, known for crafting emotional and musical love stories like Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain, shared his vision behind the film.

“I wouldn’t have made Saiyaara if I hadn’t found formidable actors like Ahaan and Aneet,” Suri said. “Their auditions impressed me, and spending time with them confirmed their emotional and intellectual depth. It’s rare and refreshing to make a love story with two completely new faces.”

Suri also revealed that the project took shape in collaboration with Yash Raj Films, which had been nurturing Ahaan and Aneet for a youth-focused romance.

Akshaye Widhani, CEO of YRF and producer of Saiyaara, emphasized the intent behind the story:

“We were looking to tell a real love story that connects to today’s youth by showing how deep and true their feelings are. Saiyaara reflects the emotional complexities young people face in modern relationships.”

The film marks the official Bollywood debut of Ahaan Panday, who has been in the limelight for years as the cousin of actress Ananya Panday and a talent groomed by YRF.

With music, heartbreak, emotional high points, and Mohit Suri’s signature storytelling, Saiyaara is poised to resonate with a generation navigating love in the digital age.
