Salman Khan Calls Dharmendra His Biggest Inspiration During Dabangg Tour in Qatar

During the ongoing Dabangg Tour in Qatar, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan opened up about his long-standing fitness journey and revealed the person who has inspired him the most since the 1990s—veteran actor Dharmendra.

On stage, Salman fondly said, “Mere aane se pehle ek hi shaks the, woh hain Dharam ji.” He went on to add, “He is my father, that’s the end. I love that man and I just hope that he will come back.”

His words reflected a deep emotional connection, one that fans have witnessed over the years.

The admiration seems mutual. Not long ago, Dharmendra referred to Salman as his “third son,” showcasing the strong bond they share. An old Bigg Boss clip, which resurfaced recently, highlights this affection. On the show, Dharmendra said warmly, “Yeh mera beta hai. Mere teen bete hain—teeno jazbaati hain, khuddar hain, transparent hain. Par yeh mujh par thoda zyada gaya hai,” making both Salman and Bobby Deol laugh.

He further added, “Kyunki yeh rangeen mizaaj hai aur meri tarah thumka bhi lagata hai,” praising Salman’s vibrant personality and love for dance.

Dharmendra’s Health and Recovery

Earlier this month, Salman was spotted at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where Dharmendra was admitted due to health concerns. The 89-year-old actor, who had been making headlines over his condition, was discharged on November 12.

Sunny Deol’s team released a statement confirming his recovery:

“Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We request the media and the public to refrain from speculation and to respect his privacy. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes.”
