Salman Khan Doesn’t Want Controversy Around ‘Sikandar’, Says ‘Nahin Chahiye Humko Controversy’

March 29, 2025: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, known for his magnetic on-screen presence, is eagerly anticipating the release of his much-awaited film Sikandar. The film, directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, is set to hit theaters on March 30, 2025. As the release date approaches, Salman has been actively promoting the film and discussing various aspects surrounding it, including fan expectations and controversies.

Salman was asked about the trend of controversies surrounding his films. The actor made it clear that he does not want any such issues with Sikandar. “Arey nahin chahiye bhai humko koi controversy. Bohot saare controversies se guzar chuke hain hum. Humko nahin chahiye koi controversy,” Salman remarked, emphasizing that controversies don’t contribute to a film’s success.

Salman further explained, “I don’t think controversies make a film a hit. We’ve seen, in fact, that sometimes a film’s release is delayed due to controversies, for example, from Friday to the next Tuesday.” He also noted that there was still time before the release and expressed his desire to avoid any controversies post-release as well.

When speaking about the film itself, Salman assured fans that Sikandar has much more to offer than what is shown in the trailer. “This is just a 3.5-minute trailer. When you see a 2 hours 25 mins long film, you will understand that this trailer was nothing. We cannot put everything in the trailer. There are a lot of things in the film that you are going to like…For an action film, emotions are very important…” he said, teasing fans with the promise of an action-packed yet emotionally charged experience.

Salman also touched upon the support of his family, especially his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan. The actor shared a heartwarming anecdote from the trailer launch event. “The love and respect he has earned is still intact. When I was leaving from home to attend the trailer launch, he told me he would join me too. Every member of our family looked at Dad and asked what has happened to you? When he came there, he climbed more than 8-10 steps to sit behind. He wanted to see the reaction of the press,” Salman recalled.

Directed by the renowned A.R. Murugadoss, known for hits like Ghajini and Thuppakki, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar marks Salman Khan’s reunion with the producer after their successful collaboration on the 2014 blockbuster Kick.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Sikandar, and with Salman’s assurances about the depth of the film, expectations are higher than ever. The film promises to deliver a blend of action, emotion, and entertainment that is sure to captivate audiences when it releases in March 2025.
