‘Maatrubhumi’ song glimpse out after title change and rework
March 17, 2026: A day after renaming his film to Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, Salman Khan unveiled the teaser of its third song, Chand Dekh Lena. The 22-second glimpse features Salman alongside Chitrangda Singh, offering a romantic and emotional tone.
The song has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya and written by Sameer Anjaan. Sharing the teaser, Salman captioned it, “Maatrubhumi ka yeh gana, Chand Dekh Lena tumhey hum nazar ayenge.”
The teaser release comes amid reports that the film, earlier titled Battle of Galwan, underwent significant changes following advice to tone down portions perceived as “anti-China.” Several scenes were reportedly reshot, and parts of the script rewritten to shift focus toward a more emotional and patriotic narrative.
Director Apoorva Lakhia had earlier clarified that the title change was not sudden, revealing that both titles were registered from the beginning. He emphasised that the film ultimately evolved into a story centred on humanity, empathy, and the inner battles of soldiers rather than just warfare.
With the teaser now out, Maatrubhumi continues to build anticipation ahead of its release.
