Salman Khan Halts UK Tour After Pahalgam Terror Attack

April 28, 2025: In a heartfelt response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has announced the postponement of his highly anticipated UK tour, The Bollywood Big One. The decision was made in light of the tragic event that claimed the lives of 26 individuals on April 22, marking one of the deadliest terrorist strikes in the region since the 2019 Pulwama attack.

The tour, which was scheduled for May 4 and 5 in Manchester and London, was set to bring together a glittering array of Bollywood’s biggest stars including Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, and Maniesh Paul. Fans across the UK had eagerly awaited the shows, which promised grand performances and cinematic spectacle. However, the entire event has now been postponed to a later date out of respect for the victims and their families.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Salman shared an emotional message with his followers:

“In light of the recent tragic events in Kashmir, and with profound sadness, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone The Bollywood Big One shows, originally scheduled for May 4th and 5th in Manchester and London. While we understand how much our fans were looking forward to these performances, we feel it is only right to pause during this time of grief.”

He added, “We sincerely apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause and deeply appreciate your understanding and support. New dates for the shows will be announced shortly.”

Earlier, Salman had also expressed his grief over the Pahalgam attack through a social media post, stating:

“Kashmir, heaven on planet earth turning into hell. Innocent people being targeted, my heart goes out to their families. Ek bhi innocent ko marna puri kainath ko marne ke barabar hai.”
(Translation: “Killing even one innocent is akin to destroying the entire universe.”)

The Pahalgam attack has shocked the nation, drawing strong condemnation from across the political and entertainment spectrum. India has responded with firm diplomatic measures against Pakistan, holding it accountable for its continued support of cross-border terrorism.

Salman Khan’s postponement joins a wave of cancellations by other prominent Indian artists. Singers Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal also called off upcoming concerts in Chennai and Surat, respectively, in mourning and solidarity.

While fans may be disappointed by the postponement, many have expressed support for the decision, praising the stars for putting compassion and respect above entertainment.
