Salman Khan Opens Up About Father’s Surprising Presence At ‘Sikandar’ Trailer Launch

March 29, 2025: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated action thriller Sikandar alongside Rashmika Mandanna, recently opened up about a heartwarming moment during the trailer launch of the film. The actor shared a special anecdote about his father, veteran film producer Salim Khan, surprising everyone by attending the event.

Salman recalled how his father, who shares a deep bond with him, decided to join him at the trailer launch, leaving their family members astonished. “The love and respect he has earned are still intact. When I was leaving home to attend the trailer launch, he told me he would join me, too. Every member of our family looked at Dad and asked, ‘What has happened to you?'” Salman said, highlighting the unexpected yet touching gesture from his father. Salim Khan, despite his age, climbed more than 8-10 steps to sit behind, eager to witness the press’s reaction to his son’s upcoming film.

Salman also spoke about Sikandar and what fans can expect from the film. While the trailer, which is 3.5 minutes long, gives a glimpse of the action-packed film, the actor assured that there is much more to explore in the full movie. “This is just a 3.5-minute trailer. When you see a 2 hours 25-minute-long film, you will understand that this trailer was nothing. We cannot put everything in the trailer. There are a lot of things in the film that you are going to like… For an action film, emotions are very important…” Salman explained, building excitement for the film’s release.

When asked about the trend of controversies surrounding film releases, Salman made it clear that he doesn’t want any controversy associated with Sikandar. “Arey nahin chahiye bhai humko koi controversy. Bohot saare controversies se guzar chuke hain hum. Humko nahin chahiye koi controversy,” he said, emphasizing that controversies don’t guarantee a film’s success. He further mentioned how sometimes films even face delays due to controversies, adding, “Abhi bhi hain time bhai. 3-4 din nikal jaane do aur picture release ho jaane do uske baad bhi koi controversy chaie nahi.”

Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, known for his Tamil and Hindi blockbusters like Ghajini and Thuppakki, Sikandar marks Salman’s reunion with producer Sajid Nadiadwala after their successful 2014 film Kick. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Sikandar, which is set to hit theaters on March 30, 2025. With its emotional depth, intense action, and star power, the film promises to be a major hit in the coming year.
