Salman Khan Poses with Idris Elba at Golden Globes Dinner

The Bollywood superstar was all smiles in Jeddah as he shared a candid moment with the celebrated English actor during the Red Sea Film Festival’s Golden Globes event.

December 11, 2025: Superstar Salman Khan added Bollywood star power to the global celebrity turnout at the prestigious Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Attending the star-studded Golden Globes dinner, Khan was seen interacting with Hollywood heavyweights and praised the festival for honoring Indian talent like Alia Bhatt.

Posing with Global Icons

Pictures from the exclusive dinner, held as part of the festival events, showed Salman Khan looking dapper in a classic black suit and tie. He had a memorable moment posing with acclaimed British actor Idris Elba, along with other international stars including Edgar Ramirez, Olga Kurylenko, and Emad Iskande.

Speaking about his presence at the festival and his frequent trips to the region, Khan expressed his fondness for the area. “I love it here. I like Saudi. A lot of people here like the culture. It’s nice. I keep on visiting this place quite a bit nowadays. So it’s good,” he said.

Praises Alia Bhatt’s Honour

Salman Khan also reacted enthusiastically to Alia Bhatt being honored at the festival. Alia Bhatt received the Golden Globe Horizon Award at the 5th Red Sea International Film Festival, a massive recognition for her impact on global cinema.

Khan praised the initiative by the Saudi authorities to bridge global and Indian culture. “Yes, Alia Bhatt, it’s amazing! I think only Saudi could’ve done this. It’s amazing. They’re going places really rapidly; it’s a good thing. I like it that they bring their best and our culture together.”

The festival also offered a first look at Alia Bhatt’s highly anticipated film, Alpha, the seventh entry in the YRF Spy Universe, directed by Shiv Rawail.

Upcoming War Drama: Battle of Galwan

On the professional front, Salman Khan is shifting his focus back to the big screen after recently wrapping up hosting duties for Bigg Boss 19. He will next be seen in the war drama, Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia.

The film chronicles the 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese troops, with Khan playing the real-life hero Colonel B. Santosh Babu, the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar Regiment. The film, which also stars Chitrangda Singh, recently wrapped its final shoot schedule in Mumbai after extensive filming in Ladakh. Reports suggest the first look of Khan’s character will be unveiled on his 60th birthday.
