June 22, 2025: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan made a power-packed appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show this Saturday, marking his comeback as the season’s first guest. Dismissing all recent rumours about an unfit appearance, Salman stunned viewers with his noticeably lean and muscular look. However, beneath his charm and humour, the actor revealed he is battling multiple serious health conditions.

In a candid and emotional exchange with host Kapil Sharma, the 59-year-old actor discussed why he has chosen not to marry, while also giving the audience a rare glimpse into the physical toll his body is enduring. “Hum ye jo daily ki haddiyan tudwa rahe hain, pasliyan toot gai, trigeminal neuralgia ke sath kaam kar rahe hain, aneurysm hai brain mein…” Salman said, listing ailments that would force most people into retirement.

There’s an aneurysm in my brain, trigeminal neuralgia, AV malformation… Still, I’m working, breaking bones every day.

Salman revealed that trigeminal neuralgia, a facial nerve disorder often referred to as the “suicide disease,” causes him excruciating pain. He’s also living with a brain aneurysm and an arteriovenous malformation (AVM)—two potentially life-threatening conditions affecting the brain’s blood vessels.

Why Salman Chose to Stay Single

While talking about relationships, Salman humorously but pointedly addressed the risks of marriage at his age:

If she gets upset and takes away half of my wealth, I won’t have the strength to start over again at this age.

This tongue-in-cheek remark was met with laughter, but the undertone was sobering. Salman shared that while he once may have been able to recover from setbacks in his youth, doing so now—amid serious health challenges—would be nearly impossible.

What Are the Ailments Salman Khan is Battling?

Trigeminal Neuralgia:
A chronic nerve condition causing severe facial pain, often triggered by simple acts like brushing or chewing. It’s dubbed the “suicide disease” due to the intensity of pain patients experience.

Brain Aneurysm:
A dangerous bulge in a brain blood vessel that can rupture and lead to a hemorrhagic stroke, often without any warning signs.

AV Malformation (AVM):
A rare, abnormal connection between arteries and veins in the brain, which can cause seizures, headaches, or brain bleeds. AVMs are typically congenital.

Still the Tiger of Bollywood

Despite his health issues, Salman remains one of the most bankable stars in the country. His appearance on Kapil Sharma’s show not only drew massive viewership but also reminded fans why he’s still very much the “Bhaijaan” of Bollywood.
