Bollywood superstar Salman Khan used his platform on Bigg Boss 19 to respond to allegations that he controls careers, stating he has neither made nor ruined anyone’s journey. His comments come amid a renewed public debate about his influence in the film industry.
September 8, 2025: Bollywood star Salman Khan spoke directly to the long-standing rumor that he is a “career-maker” or “career-spoiler” on the famous reality show Bigg Boss 19. Shehnaaz Gill, a guest, asked him to help her brother, Shehbaz Badesha, acquire work in the sector, and that’s when he said what he said.
During the Weekend Ka Vaar show, Shehnaaz said to the host, “Sir, give him some work.” He had wanted to be on the show for seven years. She further said that Salman is recognized for helping people get jobs. But the superstar was eager to say no to the label.
Salman stated, “They’ve said I’ve kept so many people down.” “Especially the ones who were held back… that was never in my hands.” But these days, people say things like, “He’ll end someone’s career.” Which career have I ended? He also said that if he ever had to “finish” a career, he would rather finish his own. He also said that he occasionally gets “complacent.”
The statement has sparked a new discussion on social media and in the industry. This comes just days after filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap publicly labeled Salman a “goon” and said he was ruining his career. Many people think that the actor’s comment on Bigg Boss is a direct response to his criticism.
Salman Khan is apparently busy shooting the next movie Battle of Galwan, which is based on the 2020 fight between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley. Apoorva Lakhia helmed the movie, which stars Salman as Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu. This is a big change for the actor, who is moving into a more serious, patriotic genre.
