Salman Khan is currently filming an “intense and heartfelt” patriotic song sequence in Mumbai, focusing on the sacrifice and emotional journey of the soldiers.

October 16, 2025: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has moved to Mumbai for the second phase of shooting for his upcoming film, Battle of Galwan, which is based on the 2020 military clash between India and China.

After wrapping up the first schedule in the cold climate of Ladakh, the actor began filming a significant patriotic song sequence in Mumbai on October 10 under the direction of Apoorva Lakhia.

According to a production insider who spoke to Mid-Day, Salman is currently working on a “rousing military anthem with a deep emotional core.” The sequence is designed to be an intense, heartfelt portrayal of a soldier’s journey, focusing on the pride, sacrifice, and pain of the military personnel.

The source emphasized that the song is patriotic in tone rather than a traditional celebratory number and will feel “organic to the story.” The sequence is expected to feature over 60 background artistes, with the emphasis placed on the emotional depth of Salman’s character rather than elaborate dance choreography. Filming for this major scene will continue throughout the week.

The film, which draws inspiration from the real-life conflict in the Galwan Valley, also stars Chitrangda Singh in a key role alongside Salman Khan.

In a prior interview with India Today, the actor had commented on the rigorous physical demands of the shoot, stating, “It’s slow I’m not feeling it yet. But I will especially I feel the cold water, that’s for sure – I am definitely feeling it since shooting in Ladakh.”
