Salman Khan To Direct Dabangg 4? Here’s What We Know

Following the confirmation that Dabangg 4 is officially underway, reports suggest superstar Salman Khan may take on the mantle of director for the fourth installment, with shooting expected to commence next year.

November 21, 2025: The popular cop franchise Dabangg is gearing up for its biggest twist yet, not just on screen, but behind the camera. Days after producer-actor Arbaaz Khan confirmed that Dabangg 4 is in the pipeline, fresh reports indicate that Salman Khan is likely to direct the film himself.

While there has been no official announcement from the production house, a report claims the Bollywood superstar will be taking on the director’s chair for the first time in the franchise, with filming potentially beginning next year. The previous installments were directed by Abhinav Kashyap (Dabangg, 2010), Arbaaz Khan (Dabangg 2, 2012), and Prabhu Deva (Dabangg 3, 2019).

Salman Khan Addresses Kashyap Controversy

The new developments surrounding the franchise come amid a renewed public spat between Salman Khan and the director of the original film, Abhinav Kashyap. Kashyap recently made shocking allegations, claiming Salman was “insecure” and hated his brother Arbaaz, alleging Salman even removed one of Arbaaz’s chase sequences from the first Dabangg.

Kashyap further alleged: “Salman used to come in my room at 1:30 am… he removed [Arbaaz’s chase sequence] completely. He has insecurity. He wanted to be seen.”

Salman Khan, known for his unfiltered style, addressed these claims on a recent episode of Bigg Boss 19 without naming Kashyap directly, urging him to focus on his career.

Salman Khan’s Response: “I want to ask again, ‘Kaam mila kya bhai?’ (Did you get any work, brother?)… The names you are taking, they won’t work with you in life. Now, those connected with them also won’t. And then, when we offered you a picture, you said you won’t do it… I’m saying that they [your family] are worried about you. If someone gives you advice to speak carefully, I want to see you grow, you are a talented man… Don’t go down this alley. Come back to the highway.”

Salman added that the constant negativity was destructive to Kashyap’s own career, concluding: “If you want to go after someone’s family, go after your own family. Love your brother, love your mother and father, take care of your wife and children.”

Despite the ongoing public feud, Arbaaz Khan has assured fans that Dabangg 4 is a priority, stating, “We’re working on it and no hurry… It will happen. I don’t know when but whenever it happens it’ll be something to look forward to.”

The potential directorial debut of Salman Khan in his most iconic franchise will undoubtedly intensify anticipation among fans eagerly awaiting the return of Chulbul Pandey.
