Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently responded to controversial remarks made by Congress leader K Surekha, who linked her divorce from Naga Chaitanya to a political conspiracy involving Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR).
Surekha had alleged that KTR was responsible for Samantha’s divorce, claiming that he tapped the phones of actresses and blackmailed them.
In response, Samantha took to Instagram to issue a statement, clarifying that her divorce was a personal matter, settled with “mutual consent and amicability,” with no political conspiracy involved.
She expressed disappointment over the speculation and requested that her name not be used in political battles. Samantha further highlighted the strength it takes for a woman to survive in the industry and urged people to respect her privacy.
Her ex-father-in-law, Nagarjuna Akkineni, also condemned Surekha’s remarks, calling them irrelevant and false, and urged the politician to withdraw the statements.
“I strongly condemn the comments of the Minister, Konda Surekha. Don’t use the lives of movie stars who stay away from politics to criticize your opponents. Please respect other people’s privacy. As a woman in a responsible position, your comments and accusations against our family are completely irrelevant and false. I request you to withdraw your comments immediately,” Nagarjuna said in a post on X.
Naga Chaitanya also condemn this and took to X (formerly twitter) and said
