Samantha Ruth Prabhu Praises Ananya Panday's Stellar Performance in 'CTRL'
Ananya Panday is receiving rave reviews for her gripping performance in the recently released cyber-thriller CTRL. The latest to applaud her work is none other than Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who took to Instagram to share her admiration for the young actress.
On Saturday, Samantha posted on her Instagram story, praising both Ananya and the CTRL team for their exceptional work. Sharing the movie poster, she wrote, “Highly recommend and a must-watch #CTRL. It is gripping from start to finish and exceptionally well-made. @ananyapanday, you beauty, your performance was outstanding. It made me quickly grab my phone and uninstall several apps. Congratulations, team #CTRL.”
In CTRL, Ananya plays the role of Nella Awasthi, an influencer grappling with a painful breakup. Seeking solace, Nella turns to Artificial Intelligence (AI) in an attempt to erase her ex-boyfriend, Joe, from her life. However, the story takes a thrilling turn when the AI goes rogue, leading to unexpected consequences. Ananya’s portrayal of Nella has been lauded for its depth, adding emotional weight to this high-tech narrative.
This marks Ananya Panday’s second OTT release this year, following her debut in the comedy series Call Me Bae in September. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, CTRL also stars Vihaan Samat, who is best known for his work in Mismatched. The film was released on Netflix on October 4 and is now available for streaming, captivating audiences with its blend of technology and suspense.
Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is busy preparing for her role in Citadel: Honey Bunny alongside Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan. This web series is the Indian adaptation of the Russo brothers’ Citadel, which originally starred Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. Additionally, Samantha is set to star in Bangaram, a film she announced on her birthday, marking her debut as a producer.
With Samantha’s endorsement, CTRL has garnered even more attention, further establishing Ananya Panday as a rising star in the OTT space.
