Romantic drama surpasses its original lifetime earnings in just four days
February 11, 2025: Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane’s Sanam Teri Kasam has emerged as the biggest Bollywood re-release success, earning ₹18.50 crore in just four days. Despite facing competition from Loveyapa and Badass Ravikumar, the film quickly surpassed its original domestic collection within two days.
Sanam Teri Kasam Re-Release Box Office Collection
According to trade reports from Sacnilk, Sanam Teri Kasam earned ₹3-3.25 crore on Monday, surpassing the combined Monday collections of:
- Sky Force: ₹0.45 crore
- Deva: ₹0.50 crore
- Badass Ravikumar: ₹0.60 crore
- Loveyapa: ₹0.60 crore
With this, the film’s total collection now stands at ₹18.50 crore, more than double its original lifetime domestic earnings. However, as per the makers, the film has already crossed ₹22.09 crore at the box office over the weekend.
Bigger Than Loveyapa and Badass Ravikumar Combined
The film’s opening weekend collection stands at ₹15.50 crore net, making it the biggest weekend for a Bollywood re-release. The film has even outperformed new releases Badass Ravikumar (₹6.75 crore) and Loveyapa (₹5.15 crore), collectively earning more than both films combined.
With Valentine’s week ahead, Sanam Teri Kasam is expected to maintain strong momentum at the box office.
Harshvardhan Rane Reacts to the Film’s Box Office Success
When asked about the unexpected success of the re-release, actor Harshvardhan Rane shared his emotions with Free Press Journal:
“It is a very soothing feeling. This makes you believe in what Shah Rukh Khan sir said in Om Shanti Om—‘Agar sab thik na ho toh woh the end nahi hai, picture abhi baaki hai mere dost.’ I could resonate with that dialogue after nine years of trying, failing, and still trying again. So, it is like a soothing ointment and justifies the dialogue that Farah ma’am had in the film.”
