Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga has strongly defended Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, criticising those branding the film as propaganda. Taking to social media, Vanga termed the backlash as “kaala drishti” (evil eye) and accused critics of selective outrage.

Vanga’s remarks came after he watched the film alongside actor Prabhas during a break from their upcoming project. In a strongly worded post, he backed director Aditya Dhar and lead actor Ranveer Singh, praising the film as “outstanding” while questioning why certain narratives are quickly labelled as propaganda.

Using vivid imagery, Vanga wrote that mere criticism wouldn’t suffice to counter negativity, adding that “a handful of red chillies won’t work, the entire field must be burned,” indicating his firm stance against detractors.

This is not the first time Vanga has supported the franchise. He had earlier praised the first installment upon its release, applauding its storytelling and performances. Director Aditya Dhar had then acknowledged Vanga’s appreciation, calling it meaningful and encouraging.
