Sanjay Dutt and Ram Pothineni's 'Double iSmart' to Release on Independence Day
The highly anticipated film ‘Double iSmart,’ starring Ram Pothineni and Sanjay Dutt, is set to release on August 15, coinciding with Independence Day. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film also features Kavya Thapar, Bani J, Getup Srinu, and Ali in significant roles.
Earlier, the makers unveiled the film’s teaser, which highlights Ram Pothineni reprising his role as the titular character, caught once again in a whirlwind of trouble. The teaser showcases Ram engaging in his characteristic antics, such as flirting and dancing, before facing off against Sanjay Dutt’s formidable character, Big Bull. This role marks Sanjay Dutt’s debut in Telugu cinema. The teaser hints at an intense showdown between Ram and Sanjay, including a dramatic fight sequence near a Shiva linga.
‘Double iSmart’ is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster ‘iSmart Shankar.’ The film is produced by Charmme Kaur and Puri Jagannadh, with cinematography by Sam K Naidu and Gianni Gianneli. Renowned music composer Mani Sharma returns to create the film’s score.
The movie is set for a multi-language release, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
The original ‘iSmart Shankar’ was a box office hit despite receiving mixed reviews for its portrayal of the titular character and controversial scenes. The first installment ended with the tragic death of Nabha Natesh’s character, while the fate of Nidhhi Agerwal’s character remains undisclosed, leaving fans eager to discover the sequel’s storyline.
As ‘Double iSmart’ gears up for its grand release, audiences are eagerly awaiting to see the action-packed drama unfold, especially the dynamic between Ram Pothineni and Sanjay Dutt.
