Sanjay Dutt To Battle Evil Spirits In Upcoming Horror Comedy ‘The Bhootnii’

February 26, 2025: Sanjay Dutt is all set to appear in a new horror comedy titled The Bhootnii, scheduled for release in theatres on April 18, 2025.

The makers recently released a teaser for the film, which has already created a buzz among fans. Directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, the film blends the horror-comedy genre with action-packed sequences, promising a thrilling and entertaining experience.

Sanjay Dutt’s character in The Bhootnii is seen in an action avatar, wielding two swords to battle evil spirits. The film also features a diverse ensemble cast, including Mouni Roy, Palak Tiwari, Sunny Singh, and Aasif Khan, who play key roles. The teaser hints at a mix of romance and horror, as Sunny Singh’s character is seen pleading with the titular ghost (the Bhootnii) to return his lost love.

In a particularly intriguing moment from the teaser, Dutt’s character recites lines from the Bhagavad Gita, discussing the immortality of the soul, adding a philosophical touch to the otherwise action-packed film. The film is jointly produced by Deepak Mukut and Sanjay Dutt, with Maanayata Dutt and Hunar Mukut as co-producers.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of this unique horror-comedy, especially due to the intriguing blend of romance, action, and supernatural elements. Mouni Roy’s role is particularly drawing attention, with her presence generating a lot of excitement in the teaser.

Apart from The Bhootnii, Sanjay Dutt has also been cast in the highly awaited Baaghi 4. His first look from the film shows him in a menacing avatar, sitting on a gothic-style throne while holding a blood-stained woman in his arms. The intense look and tagline, “Every Aashiq is a Villain,” promise a dark and gripping character for Dutt in this action-packed movie, which is set to release on September 5, 2025.

The Baaghi franchise, known for its action-packed sequences, started in 2016 with the film Baaghi, followed by Baaghi 2 in 2018 and Baaghi 3 in 2020. Baaghi 4 marks the next chapter, with Kannada filmmaker A Harsha making his Bollywood directorial debut for the project. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the Nadiadwala Grandson banner.

With The Bhootnii and Baaghi 4 on the horizon, Sanjay Dutt continues to take on exciting and diverse roles that are sure to captivate audiences.
