Sanjay Mishra & Neena Gupta Reunite for ‘Vadh 2,’ Seek Blessings at Mahakumbh
Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), February 8: Veteran actors Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta, who last shared the screen in the critically acclaimed thriller Vadh (2022), are set to reunite for its highly anticipated sequel, Vadh 2.
On Friday, the film’s team, including director Jaspal Singh Sandhu and producer Ankur Garg, gathered at the ongoing Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj to seek divine blessings before starting the project.
The cast and crew participated in a holy dip at the sacred Sangam Ghat and visited the Akshay Vat Temple, offering prayers for the success of their film.
Speaking about her experience at the Maha Kumbh Mela, Neena Gupta told media,
“I have been wanting to come here for years… It was a unique experience… Finally, I took a dip today.”
Expressing his excitement for the project, Sanjay Mishra said,
“We are doing Vadh 2, and for me, it is the best way to start my next project.”
The title Vadh, derived from Hindu mythology, signifies the defeat of evil, aligning with the intense crime-thriller narrative of the first film. Vadh 2 is expected to continue the gripping storyline, exploring deeper themes of justice and morality.
Produced under the Luv Films banner by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, the film is expected to build upon the dark and suspenseful universe that made its predecessor a standout in the thriller genre.
More details, including the official release date and additional cast members, are yet to be announced.
