Sanjay Suri’s Film ‘Avni Ki Kismat’ to Be Screened at Cannes

Actor Sanjay Suri’s latest film, ‘Avni Ki Kismat,’ is set to be screened at the ongoing 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival on Friday. Directed by Shonet Anthony Barretto, ‘Avni Ki Kismat’ is a poignant narrative inspired by real-life events, depicting the struggles of villagers living near a forest in Maharashtra. The villagers perceive a tigress named Avni as responsible for human fatalities. However, the story takes a turn with the arrival of a conservationist from the city and village leaders who advocate for the protection of wildlife and foster a new perspective on coexistence between humans and animals.
